This piece is a documentation of a section of the power outage that I experienced during the Valentine’s day weekend of 2021 at my home in San Antonio, Texas due to snow and poor preparation. While the power was out, I used an old decorative oil lamp in leu of our flashlights because I did not want to waste any power. Now, I have my own oil lamp that I keep at hand.
